  Melon and Organic Vegetable Harvest Supporting Socfindo Conservation Initiative

  As part of the Socfindo Conservation program, staff of Bangun Bandar Estate, together with Mrs. Luluk and Mrs. Hartaty Tarigan, conducted a melon harvest in Division 1 and an organic vegetable harvest in Tanjung Maria Division. The activity reflects Socfindo's commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture through the productive use of unused land around employees' housing. By encouraging employees and surrounding communities to cultivate horticultural crops, the initiative supports food security, creates additional income opportunities, and demonstrates the practical implementation of sustainable land management.

  Azara Wellness Inauguration: Advancing Herbal Products for a Healthy and Sustainable Lifestyle

  Socfindo Conservation officially inaugurated Azara Wellness, a spa house and marketing center for herbal products developed through its conservation and community empowerment programs. The inauguration was led by Ms. Luluk Williams, Chairperson of the Socfindo Conservation Foundation, as a reflection of the organization’s commitment to developing value-added, sustainable herbal-based products that generate economic benefits for local communities. Azara Wellness offers a range of natural products developed by Socfindo Conservation, including massage oil, facial wash, natural soap, body butter, and deodorant. These products are the result of the sustainable cultivation and processing of herbal plants. In addition to creating employment opportunities for six local community members involved in the spa’s operations, Azara Wellness also supports the local economy by sourcing herbal raw materials from nearby communities, including peppermint, lavender, turmeric, and other medicinal plants. Through this initiative, Socfindo Conservation aims to strengthen the herbal product value chain, improve community livelihoods, and promote a healthy lifestyle aligned with sustainability principles.

  Make-Up Competition Promotes Creativity, Product Awareness, and Sustainable Beauty

  The KISS Annual Gathering 2026, attended by around 150 members of the Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS), featured an exciting make-up competition. Before the competition, participants joined a training session led by Dionna, a professional Make-Up Artist (MUA), who shared basic make-up techniques, beauty tips, and guidance on selecting suitable beauty products. Beyond improving make-up skills and self-confidence, the activity aimed to increase participants’ understanding of the ingredients commonly found in skincare and make-up products. Participants were encouraged to become more aware of natural ingredients and their benefits, supporting informed choices toward safer, more environmentally friendly products. Through this activity, Socfindo Conservation continues to promote sustainable lifestyles by encouraging the use of natural products that support both personal well-being and environmental sustainability.

  KISS Annual Gathering 2026: Healthy Skin & Natural Skincare

  Approximately 150 members of the Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) participated in the 2026 Annual Gathering themed “Healthy Skin & Natural Skincare.” The event featured dr. Ade Arhamni, Sp.KK., M.Ked(KK), FINSDV, who shared insights on the importance of skin health, Mrs. Tria Kristiani, who delivered a session on Basic Skin Care, and Mrs. Luluk Williams, Chairperson of the Socfindo Conservation Foundation, who explained the differences between makeup and skincare to help participants make informed decisions when choosing personal care products. In line with Socfindo Conservation’s commitment to promoting healthy and sustainable lifestyles, participants also joined a natural soap-making workshop using natural ingredients and took part in a creative makeup competition. Through these activities, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of utilizing environmentally friendly natural materials, reducing dependence on excessive chemical-based products, and adopting self-care practices that support both human well-being and environmental sustainability.

  Socfindo Conservation Participates in Socfindo Conference on Practical Applications & Exhibition (SCOPEX) 2026

  Socfindo Conservation participated in SCOPEX 2026, organized by PT Socfin Indonesia from May 19–21, 2026, at Hotel Adimulia Medan. The event was also attended by the Vice Governor of North Sumatra, H. Surya, B.Sc., and the Regent of Serdang Bedagai, H. Darma Wijaya. SCOPEX 2026 was attended by more than 500 participants from various provinces across Indonesia as well as neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Africa, and Belgia, consisting of farmers, plantation companies, and business actors directly related to the plantation sector. During the event, Socfindo Conservation showcased various downstream and community empowerment products developed together with fostered villages, including herbal tea, natural soap, natural deodorant, body cream, traditional herbal drinks (jamu), healthy noodles, and kombucha. These products were developed through a community empowerment program in which Socfindo Conservation provides herbal plant seedlings to local communities, while the harvested products are later processed into value-added production materials. In addition, Socfindo Conservation also collaborates with local MSMEs in product processing and development as part of its commitment to supporting sustainable community economic growth.

  Transforming Vacant Land into a TOGA Garden with KISS Bangun Bandar Women’s Group and Bah Kerapuh Village Community

  As part of community empowerment and productive land utilization efforts, the KISS Bangun Bandar women’s group together with women from Bah Kerapuh Village planted chili, lettuce, and papaya seedlings in the Divisi 3 Cemara area. The vacant land is being developed into a TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants) garden that can be utilized by the surrounding community. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Head of Bah Kerapuh Village to support the management and sustainability of the land. Previously, similar initiatives had also been implemented through the cultivation of melons and watermelons in Divisions 1 and 2. Through this initiative, it is hoped that the sustainable use of vacant land will continue to provide positive benefits for both the environment and the surrounding community.
