20 May 2026

Socfindo Conservation participated in the seminar session Positive Impact to Oil Palm: From Sustainable Cultivation to Global Benefits. The Chairwoman of Socfindo Conservation Foundation, Mrs. Luluk Williams, attended as a speaker with the topic “Preserving Nature with Socfindo Conservation”, which highlighted the harmony between oil palm productivity and nature conservation. Through her presentation, she explained how Socfindo Conservation represents PT Socfindo’s real commitment to preserving biodiversity while empowering local communities through conservation programs and a herbal plant-based circular economy. Centered at Bangun Bandar Estate, the program has now collected more than 1,500 species of herbal and family medicinal plants (TOGA) from various plantations across Aceh and North Sumatra. This participation demonstrates that the palm oil industry can grow hand in hand with environmental conservation and sustainable community economic development.
