PT Socfindo Supports Post-Disaster Recovery and Community Nutrition Education at Sungai Liput Estate
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) visited Sungai Liput Estate four months after the flash flood, giving appreciation awards to employees whose homes are now clean and healthy after the natural disaster. They also provided Tempeh-making Training for PKK members in Rimba Sawang and Alur Selebu villages, along with equipment and materials. At SD Negeri Suka Makmur, they carried out CSR activities such as providing fans, repairing ceilings and toilets, repainting, adding waste bins, and improving paving blocks. They also gave a simple nutrition session on “My Plate” and the 3S concept (healthy, tasty, simple), which the students followed enthusiastically. In addition, PT Socfindo created sensory gardens in PAUD schools and taught children proper handwashing and toothbrushing to encourage healthy habits from an early age.

Educational Visit of SMA Methodist 1 Medan to Socfindo Conservation
A total of 96 students and 14 teachers from SMA Methodist 1 Medan conducted an educational visit to Socfindo Conservation. The activities included a garden tour, where students were introduced to various herbal plants in the TOGA area and their benefits. Throughout the visit, the students showed high enthusiasm and strong interest in learning about herbal plants firsthand. In addition, some students and teachers enjoyed lunch and beverages at Cafe Sehatea, adding to the overall positive experience of the visit.

PT Socfindo Lae Butar Estate Supports Local Melon Farmers through Greenhouse Development and CSR Programs
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) inaugurated a greenhouse at PT Socfindo Kebun Lae Butar to support local melon farmers, with a capacity of around 70 kg per unit. They also provided tempeh-making training for PKK members in Sukarejo and Sidodadi villages, along with equipment and materials. The visit included CSR initiatives at SDN 2 Rimo, such as building a canteen, improving sports facilities, installing football goalposts, providing team uniforms, and upgrading bathroom flooring. Additionally, PT Socfindo developed sensory gardens in its PAUD schools and educated children on proper handwashing and toothbrushing to promote healthy habits.

PT Socfindo and Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) Seumanyam Estate Strengthens Communities and Enhances Education Facilities through CSR Program
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) Seumanyam Estate organized a tempeh-making workshop together with PKK women from Pulo Ie Village and Sukaramai Village. Socfindo Conservation also provided support in the form of materials and equipment for healthy noodle production, such as a sealing machine, soybeans, and yeast, to help villages produce their own products independently. On this occasion, PT Socfindo, together with KISS members, visited SDN MIN 5 Sukaraja to carry out a CSR program, which included classroom repainting, construction and renovation of toilet facilities, provision of teachers’ chairs and fans, as well as repairs to damaged lighting installations. In addition, improvements were made to supporting facilities such as classroom door handles, along with the provision of prayer equipment for the school’s mushola.

Utilization of Socfindo Housing Yards into Productive and Economically Valuable Land for the Surrounding Community
PT Socfindo Bangun Bandar Estate, in collaboration with the Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS), Martebing Village officials, and Koramil 016 DM, carried out a collaborative initiative to optimize residential yards into clean, healthy, and economically valuable areas. A total of 480 melon plants, seedless watermelons, and various family medicinal plants (TOGA) such as butterfly pea, rosella, and mint were cultivated. This activity reflects a multi-stakeholder synergy aimed at improving community welfare while creating a green, healthy, and sustainable environment through the spirit of mutual cooperation.

Tempeh Production Training in Kubang Gajah Village and Kuala Trang Village at Seunagan Estate
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) Seunagan organized a tempeh-making workshop together with PKK women from Kubang Gajah Village and Kuala Trang Village. Socfindo Conservation also provided support in the form of materials and equipment for healthy noodle production, such as a sealing machine, soybeans, and yeast, to help villages produce their own products independently. On this occasion, PT Socfindo, together with KISS members, also visited SD Negeri Purworejo to conduct a “3S Food (Healthy, Tasty, and Simple)” awareness session, screen educational videos, distribute healthy food and beverages, and inaugurate the sports field that had been upgraded and improved by PT Socfindo as part of its CSR program. In addition, PT Socfindo provides sensory garden facilities in all of its PAUD (early childhood education centers) as interactive learning spaces that support children’s growth and development. Educational activities were also conducted for PAUD students, including proper handwashing and toothbrushing practices, as part of efforts to promote clean and healthy living habits from an early age.

Training on Kece Latte and Kombucha Making for SMP Pelita Kasih Medan
A total of 27 students and 3 teachers from SMP Pelita Kasih Medan (Grade IX) conducted an educational visit to Socfindo Conservation. The activities included a TOGA garden tour to learn about various herbal plants and their benefits, as well as technical training on making Kece Latte and Kombucha. The entire program was carried out with high enthusiasm, with students actively participating in each session. In addition, both students and teachers enjoyed food and beverages at Cafe Sehatea, adding to the overall positive experience. This activity is expected to broaden students’ knowledge and increase their interest in the creative and sustainable use of herbal plants.

Educational Visit of SPS Harun Siddiq to Socfindo Conservation
A total of 16 students and 2 teachers from Sekolah Satuan PAUD Sejenis (SPS) Harun Siddiq, Dolok Manampang, conducted an educational visit to Socfindo Conservation . The activities included a tour of the TOGA garden, where students were introduced directly to various types of herbal plants. The entire program provided a fun and engaging learning experience, with high enthusiasm from the students in exploring the benefits of herbal plants for daily life.

Visit of Mr. Suyanto from Mano Palm Oil Liberia to Socfindo Conservation
Socfindo Conservation welcomed the visit of Mr. Suyanto, an alumnus of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, who is currently affiliated with Mano Palm Oil Liberia, along with his family. The visit included a tour of the conservation garden, tea factory, and soap-making activities at the Rumah Inspirasi, complemented by a tea cupping session, a library visit, and a culinary experience at the café. He expressed high appreciation for the integrated concept of Socfindo Conservation and plans to return with his colleagues. During the visit, he also purchased plant seedlings and tea products to be shared in Liberia, and conveyed his plan to develop a similar garden on approximately 3 hectares of land.

Tempeh Production Training in Bantan Village and Dame Village at Bangun Bandar Estate
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) of Bangun Bandar Estate organized a tempeh production workshop together with PKK women from Bantan Village and Dame Village. Socfindo Conservation also provided assistance in the form of materials and equipment for making healthy noodles, such as a sealing machine, soybeans, and yeast, to support the villages in producing their own products. On this occasion, PT Socfindo together with KISS members visited SDN 102068 Kampung Dame to implement CSR initiatives, including building a boundary wall, improving the school yard, renovating bathrooms, repainting classrooms, replacing fencing and window glass, repairing damaged facilities, repainting desks and chairs, and providing an electric fan.
