Training on Traditional Sinom Herbal Drink Making for Students of SMP Swasta Juanda Tebing Tinggi
Socfindo Conservation received an educational visit from Grade IX students of SMP Swasta Juanda Tebing Tinggi, attended by 76 students. The activities included a field tour to introduce various herbal plants, as well as technical guidance on making Sinom herbal drink. The students showed great enthusiasm and excitement while exploring the garden and practicing how to make the traditional herbal beverage. Through this activity, it is hoped that the experience and knowledge gained will provide valuable benefits and inspire the younger generation to appreciate the use of herbal plants and preserve the tradition of jamu culture in the future.

Training on Granola and Yogurt Making for Chemistry Students of FMIPA Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU)
Socfindo Conservation welcomed an educational visit from students of the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sumatera Utara, attended by 29 students and 2 accompanying lecturers. During the visit, the participants had the opportunity to join a technical guidance session on making granola and yogurt as part of learning about healthy food products based on natural ingredients. Throughout the activity, the students showed great enthusiasm and actively participated in every session, from touring the TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants) area to practicing how to make yogurt and granola. They also enjoyed various food and beverages served at Sehatea Café.

Visit of the Women’s Group from the Tebing Tinggi District Attorney’s Office to Socfindo Conservation
Socfindo Conservation welcomed a visit from the women’s group of the Tebing Tinggi District Attorney’s Office (Kajari) as part of an educational activity introducing TOGA (Family Medicinal Plants). During the visit, the participants toured the TOGA area at Socfindo Conservation to explore various cultivated herbal and medicinal plants. They showed great enthusiasm while learning about the benefits and everyday uses of herbal plants. The visit also inspired the women’s group from Kajari Tebing Tinggi, who plan to develop a TOGA garden on a 10 x 2 meter area beside their office. On this occasion, the group also ordered various herbal plant seedlings to support the development of their planned garden. Through this activity, it is hoped that the good relationship and collaboration between the KISS women’s group of Socfindo Conservation and the women’s group of Kajari Tebing Tinggi will continue to grow, while also promoting the use of herbal plants and environmental conservation within the community.

Aek Loba Allotment Program for Food Security and Community Income Enhancement
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) conducted a visit to Aek Loba Estate as part of a series of CSR activities focused on community empowerment and health education. The activities included tempeh-making training for the communities of Ledong Timur Village and Aek Korsik Village, accompanied by the provision of equipment and production materials to support hygienic and economically valuable home-based businesses. KISS also visited a local tempeh-producing MSME capable of producing around 50 kg of tempeh per day as a form of support for improving community production quality. In addition, PT Socfindo Aek Loba Estate has developed the Aek Loba Allotment program, a community-based food crop garden that helps local communities meet household needs while also generating additional family income. The activities also included “My Plate” and 3S (Healthy, Simple, and Balanced) education sessions for students of SDN 010123 to promote healthy lifestyle habits from an early age.

Tempeh-Making Training for Women Representatives from Glugur Kota and Brayan Subdistricts, Medan
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) organized a tempeh-making training for women in Glugur Kota and Brayan Subdistricts, Medan. This activity aims to enhance skills and create economic opportunities through locally based food businesses. During the training, participants not only gained practical knowledge on the tempeh production process but also received support in the form of tools and materials, such as basins, sealers, and other necessary equipment. This assistance is expected to encourage participants to immediately apply the skills they have learned and develop them into sustainable home-based businesses.

A total of 54 students from SD IT Nurul Ilmi Medan conducted an educational visit to Socfindo Conservation. The activities included a garden tour, where students were introduced to various herbal plants in the TOGA area and their benefits. Throughout the visit, the students showed high enthusiasm and strong interest in learning about herbal plants firsthand.

Tempeh-Making Training for Kuta Pinang and Tanah Besih Villages
The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) conducted a visit to Tanah Besih Estate, carrying out a series of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities at SD Negeri 107463 Paya Pasir. During the visit, a renovated classroom was officially inaugurated, complete with 23 sets of new desks and chairs, along with repairs to several parts of the school that had previously been damaged. In addition, KISS provided tempeh-making training to members of the PKK in Kuta Pinang and Tanah Besih villages, along with supporting tools and materials. The activities also included basic nutrition education through the “My Plate” concept and the 3S approach (healthy, tasty, simple), which were enthusiastically received by the students. As part of efforts to support early childhood education, PT Socfindo also developed a sensory garden at a PAUD center and delivered education on clean and healthy living practices, such as proper handwashing and toothbrushing techniques, to instill healthy habits from an early age.

Educational Visit of SD IT Insan Mulia Tebing Tinggi to Socfindo Conservation
A total of 37 students from SD IT Insan Mulia Tebing Tinggi conducted an educational visit to Socfindo Conservation. The activities included a garden tour, where students were introduced to various herbal plants in the TOGA area and learned about their benefits. The visit also featured a hands-on aloe vera planting session for the students. The students showed great enthusiasm and interest in learning directly about herbal plants and simple planting practices. The visit provided an interactive learning experience aimed at increasing students’ awareness and knowledge about plants and the environment from an early age.

PT Socfindo Provides “My Plate” Nutrition Education and 3S (Healthy, Tasty, Simple) Program at SD Negeri 03 Sumber Makmur
The Association of Socfindo Staff Wives (KISS) conducted a visit to Tanah Gambus Estate as part of a CSR initiative at SD Negeri 03 Sumber Makmur, Lima Puluh Subdistrict. The program included the inauguration of the principal’s official residence, a meeting room, the provision of a set of speakers, and the renovation of several damaged parts of the school. In addition, the activities featured basic nutrition education through the “My Plate” concept and the 3S (healthy, tasty, simple) approach, which were enthusiastically received by the students. PT Socfindo also developed a sensory garden at the PAUD and provided practical education on clean and healthy living, including proper handwashing and toothbrushing techniques, to instill healthy habits from an early age.
